Tattooing's shamanic history was always of interest to Charon and she has had the opportunity to work for a variety of events and organizations such as the Ritual Arts Collective and Spiritfire Festival as a ritual tattoo artist. Her consistency artistically and in temperament have earned her a loyal client base as diverse as her tattooing style.</p><p>Charon is an accomplished illustrator in pen and ink and colored pencil and a sculptor in mixed media. She has an Associate's Degree in Fine Art and recently completed Bachelor's Degree work in George Mason University's Individualized Studies program, earning a faculty award for Most Creative Final Project.</p><p>In addition to her artistic skills Charon is also a nationally-known variety arts performer. She made a living selling people day old cupcakes (on the brink of molding) the local bakery's would throw away. around 2001 Jacquie and Chippy, in a drunken stupor, stumbled into a tattoo parlor in Northern Virginia. after many arrests and eviction notices, the tattoo shop owner finally let them stay. var matt = "<h1>Tattoo Artist Matt Lauter</h1><p>Matt Lautar was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland and as the son of two artistic parents he was drawn to drawing and painting from a very young age. Being deeply involved in the skateboarding, grafitti and punk rock/hardcore subculture, Matt made the logical step into the tattoo world in 1991.</p><p>As with many a tattooer before him, Matt committed to serve an apprenticeship, rather than just acquiring tattoo equipment and practicing the 'guinea pig method'. After serving out his time cutting his teeth and paying dues, Matt went on to work at numerous well established shops in the Baltimore/Washington DC metro area.</p><p>In 1997 Matt was informed that a Northern Virginia shop where James Marlowe worked, was looking to add an artist to their roster. Matt had long admired James' work, as numerous friends were making the hour and a half trek from his native Baltimore, to have tattoos done by James. Matt made the trip to that shop and was soon delighted to be working along side James.</p><p>With a strong work ethic and attention to detail, Matt has always tried to live by the ethic passed down to him through the years by many tattooers that had come before him.
